Your domain is registered using your approved registrant details. Keep that information current and complete any verification emails. You can use your domain with a website provider of your choice.
A domain purchase covers the domain registration. A website build, website hosting, business email, and the $50/month care plan are separate services unless they are explicitly included in your agreement.

How do I choose a domain for my business?
Choose a name that is short, easy to spell, and close to your business name. Say it out loud and check that customers can type it without an explanation. Avoid confusing numbers or hyphens where possible, and check for existing businesses or trademarks before registering. Use the storefront to check availability, or ask Phil for help comparing options.
Can I keep my domain when changing website providers?
Yes, you can usually keep your domain and leave its registration with your current provider. Connecting it to a new website normally involves updating DNS settings, rather than buying another domain. Before making changes, check any existing email or other services that use the domain so their settings can be preserved.
Do I need to transfer my domain to work with RWS?
No. Connecting a domain to an RWS website and transferring its registration are separate actions. With your authorization and the appropriate account access, Phil can help connect a domain at your current provider. If you prefer to transfer it, availability, eligibility, timing, and costs are confirmed through the storefront.
Does website care include a domain?

Can I buy just a domain?
Yes. You can purchase a domain through the storefront without ordering a website or care plan. Review the registration and renewal prices before checkout.
Can I transfer an existing domain?
You can explore transfers through the storefront. Eligibility, any transfer restrictions, required authorization, the final charge, and any registration-term change are confirmed during that process. Contact Phil if you need help. A transfer request does not guarantee an immediate move.
Does buying a domain put my website online?
A domain gives your website an address. You also need a website, hosting, and the correct connection settings. Website design and connection help can be arranged separately.
What happens when it is time to renew?
Domain registrations have a set term. Review the renewal date, price, and automatic-renewal settings in your storefront account, and keep your contact and payment information current. The standard .com renewal price currently shown here is $21.75 per year.
Is the domain mine if I stop monthly care?
You remain the registered domain owner. If care ends, RWS will help hand over management, and you become responsible for future renewals and any separate provider costs under your agreement.
